Community Life

Men's Ministry at Abiding Love contribute to multiple areas of need including property maintenance, worship leadership, and countless other tasks. All are welcome! Men’s ministry holds an annual service retreat at one of the Cross Trails Ministry facilities.

Quilters meet every Thursday, 10:00 am, in the upstairs middle school classroom. Projects include quilts for Lutheran World Relief and the Abiding Love Holiday Market. Women of Abiding Love seek to involve all women of the congregation.  Ministry includes small groups that meet for study and fellowship on various days and times during the month.  Check the on-line calendar at abidinglove.org for meeting dates and times.  The women also hold an annual retreat, a holiday market, and provide quilts and kits for Lutheran World Relief.  Check the LWR website https://lwr.org/quilts-and-kits for detailed information.

Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other in hope that they may help themselves and others to recover from alcoholism. The Oak Hill R.U.S.H.  Hour Group meets every Monday, 7:00 pm, in the second floor Classroom. If you think you have a drinking problem and would like to stop, please visit this group. Al-Anon is a program of recovery for the families and friends of alcoholics, whether or not the alcoholic recognizes the existence of the drinking problem or seeks help. It is a spiritual program, based on the 12 steps, that offers strength and hope for family and friends of problem drinkers. We meet every Tuesday, 7:00 - 8:00 pm, in the first floor Classroom. Personal Freedom Alanon Family Group Meets Thursdays at Abiding Love, 6:00—7:00 pm in the Library. This is a 12 step literature study group, based on on Alanon Conference Approved literature. No affiliation to outside groups. We welcome anyone who has been effected by someone else's drinking.
