Abiding Love Lutheran Church Historical Timeline

1980 Fifty-nine families organized Abiding Love Lutheran Church.
The Reverend M. David Fetter was called as Pastor.
Worship services and Sunday School were held at Westgate Bowling Lanes.

1981 A multi-purpose Worship/Activity Center was started in May, with dedication in April the following year.

1986 Opening of an Education Building and Child Development Center, with ministries for education, youth, community service, music, worship, and fellowship growing rapidly.

1996 A Master Plan was conceived for building a Worship/Administration and Education facility to meet the growing needs at Abiding Love.
“Forward in Faith” building program was initiated.

1999 Groundbreaking on the new facility was celebrated as a result of obtaining financial support from congregation members for the new church building.

2002 The new worship center was dedicated with great fanfare and thanksgiving on May 19, 2002.

Fall of 2006 Completion of Second Story with new space for Youth Activities, Sunday School Classes, Fellowship, etc. ... MAKING MORE ROOM FOR YOU!

Start of 2007 Hired Pastor Lynnae Sorensen as Associate Pastor.
