Planning
Worship Planning Team
Gus Sterneman
This group works closely with the Director of Worship and Arts and the Pastor to plan worship services, including worship order, service elements, and banners. They meet once every 6-8 weeks via Zoom.
Hymn Selection Committee
Gus Sterneman
The Hymn Selection Committee helps plan the music for weekly worship. They typically meet about a week after the Worship Planning Team, using their plans as a guide.

Ushers

Ushers are the outfacing hospitality on Sunday mornings. They greet and help physically guide the congregation through the worship service. They also aid in setup and clean up before and after the services.
Altar Guild
Di Brophy and Denise Alaimo
Altar Guild is responsible for the setup, clean up, and coordination of communion, baptism, and liturgical art (banners, altar cloths, and vestments).
Worship Leaders

Communion Server
Communion Servers assist in the distribution of the communion elements during worship.
Lector
Lectors read scripture during the worship service and also assist with the distribution of elements during communion.
Assisting Minister
The primary tasks of the Assisting Minister are to lead Prayer of the Day, Prayers of the People, and serve communion during worship. The Assisting Minister creates the Prayers of the People with the aid of many resources including pre-written prayers that can be easily adapted to the day.
Technology

Projection
Projectionists run the slide show during worship. Training is available.
Sound
The Sound Tech manages the mic levels and monitors the audio quality during worship. Training is available.
Video
Video Operators run the live stream, handling camera switching and movement during worship. Training is available.

Sanctuary Choir
This group works closely with the Director of Worship and Arts and the Pastor to plan worship services, including worship order, service elements, and banners. They meet once every 6-8 weeks via Zoom.
Cantata Choir (Seasonal)
This is a seasonal choir formed from for short term special events. Usually Christmas and Easter with other occasional performances.
Children’s Choir
Children in grades 2-6 are welcome. Meets seasonally on Wednesday evenings before Sanctuary Choir.
Mixed Blessings
Tom Hokanson
Mixed Blessings has been providing contemporary and folk music for worship at Abiding Love for over 25 years. They lead music on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at the late service.
Additional Music
Opportunities are always available for solo performance or other ensembles!
Music at ALLC is always growing and expanding. Kazoo Band, Ukulele Choir, and more have been suggested. Ideas are always welcome.
Visual Arts
We are looking to create a Visual Arts Team here at Abiding Love. This team will help oversee and coordinate installations, galleries, and presentations of the visual arts. This is a new team filling a recognized area of need. All are welcome.
