Art in worship has been an incredibly engaging opportunity for believers for much of the history of the church. The earliest Christian art was done in secret and very little has survived to this day due to the early persecution of believers. However, art in some cultures is considered a glimpse into heaven and utilized as such within the context of a worship service. Our emotions, experiences, thoughts and dreams are sometimes too big for words and are often expressed through a wide variety of artistic techniques and mediums.
